Saturday saw the holding of the Sussex Schools and Masters at Lancing Manor.
On another sunny and dry day for cross country, there was a good showing of green vests across all age groups. In the intermediate girls we have a nice group coming through the ranks consisting of India Spoor, Leah Harris, Katie Lankshear, and Milly Williams who all ran well. India coming home in 3rd place, with the other girls all in the top twenty which would of made for a strong team in a club event.
In the masters events, Sharon Elder herself a former schools champion had a strong run and comfortable win in the O35 womens event. Peter Lay looked to be back to decent form after a few months of injury problems, finishing second in the O50 mens race, and 3rd in the O50 team event with Roger Moore and Kader Sidi-Mousa, well done chaps. Lin Venis won a silver in the O55 womens race.
A big thank you to all who assisted on the day to make the event run smoothly, Mr.Smith would of been proud.
