Worthing Harriers is a friendly and sociable club that welcomes new members of all ages and abilities. About the Group
The sprints and hurdles group is for athletes 13yrs and over interested in distances 100m > 400m. Training is based around two track sessions per week with weekend trail runs and hill sessions during the winter training phase. Advice and assistance is given on supplementing track sessions with strength, power and conditioning work.

Our middle distance groups are for athletes targeting 600m and upwards. A structured training programme will help athletes focused on achieving their endurance running objectives, whether it is on the road, cross country or track.

Following the success of the Olympics we have been inundated with enquiries to the club. This has resulted in a long waiting list for the U13 training group. We are currently trying to recruit more volunteer coaches and assistants to cope with this increased interest. About the Group Our club philosophy is to allow junior members to learn the fundamentals of all athletic events. The U13 group allows young athletes to learn and improve their running, jumping and throwing under the guidance of our team of coaches. Members are encouraged to aim for their first taste of competition by participating in open meetings and the Sussex U13 league during the summer, and cross country events during the winter.

About the Group
The Special Olympics training group has been a huge success in recent years. The group is for athletes with a disability, and is run under the guidance of coach Claire Moyle. Athletes have the opportunity to train in all disciplines, and compete in a variety of indoor and outdoor competitions throughout the year.
